How soon will we have electric cars really visible in numbers on our roads? I had thought that it would be years yet, but I've just come across this vehicle charging station in Sandon, at the pub there.
However, admittedly, it's one of very few such public charging stations in Staffordshire.

We'll get electric cars in numbers when the total cost of ownership is lower than petrol/diesel cars. Even with the current fuel prices electric cars still work out more expensive and distance between charges is about 60 miles so they are not really worth it at the moment.
