Lambs out!
The lambing season has been under way for quite a few days now, and the first lambs are already out in the fields.
Luckily for the little ones, the weather has now turned much milder.
Wow, these are early. I have not seen any around here yet. Wild boar piglets are not due yet, my local butcher a few doors down has a small farm and they are due in a few weeks.
Oh, they are darling! But what really drew my attention to the photos is that they all look slightly pink. Maybe it is my monitor or maybe you were taking photos of them in evening light? Anyway, it is very interesting. Aren't lambs the most enchanting creatures! I could never eat one. I would eat bugs first.
Yes, the pink tinge is quite marked, isn't it? Some of the sheep did have reddish markings, but I think it's the camera. Especially in poor light (as this was), it seems to make up its own mind sometimes on how it will have the picture turn out. I'm still trying to get to grips with it!
Would have been a fun photo had they been standing on a snowy field.
